Glossary
All the terms you'll encounter on Spawned, explained in plain English.
Bonding Curve
A mathematical formula that automatically sets token prices based on supply. More tokens sold = higher price. Tokens returned = lower price. Ensures fair, transparent pricing.
DEX (Decentralized Exchange)
A trading platform that runs on blockchain without a central authority. Raydium is the DEX where graduated tokens trade.
Graduation
When a token raises 85 SOL on the bonding curve, it "graduates" to Raydium DEX for broader trading.
Holder
Someone who has tokens. On Spawned, holders are typically supporters who believe in your project.
Liquidity
How easily a token can be traded. Bonding curves provide instant liquidity (you can always trade).
LP (Liquidity Provider)
Someone who provides funds to enable trading. On graduation, liquidity is automatically provided and locked.
Market Cap
Total value of all tokens. Calculated as token price × total supply.
Minting
Creating new tokens. On Spawned, tokens are minted automatically when someone trades on the bonding curve.
On-Chain
Recorded on the blockchain. Transparent, permanent, and verifiable by anyone.
Raydium
A popular Solana DEX. Where Spawned tokens go after graduation.
Rug Pull
When a creator abandons a project and takes funds. Spawned's design prevents this (see Rug Pull Prevention).
Slippage
The difference between expected and actual price during a trade. Higher on volatile or low-liquidity tokens.
Smart Contract
Code that runs on blockchain automatically. Spawned's contracts handle all token mechanics.
SOL
Solana's native currency. Used to pay for transactions and launch tokens on Spawned.
Solana
A fast, low-cost blockchain. Spawned is built on Solana.
Token
A digital asset on blockchain. On Spawned, tokens represent projects and align communities.
Trading Fee
A small fee (1.25%) on each trade. Split between creator, holders, platform, and referrers.
Vibe Coding
Using AI to build by describing what you want in natural language. No coding required.
Wallet
Software that holds your tokens and lets you sign transactions. Phantom is popular on Solana.
